The lyrics and the melody hit me in all the most painful and hopeful ways. Honestly, I think I cried and freaked out my friends lol. I had heard it before, but at the festival, seeing it live, I REALLY fell in love. So, not to be incredibly basic BUT “I wanna get better” was the first song I heard from them, and then I saw them by chance at a festival (I was there for Cage the Elephant…which was crazy good too). Because of that, I think things that have to do with the loss of innocence hit me really hard.
